New in our range is this DC-DC charging converter, the NCC series. A robust solution for charging a second battery from the vehicle. This, for example, to solve the charging problem with a Euro 5/6 alternator, but also certainly a desirable solution when the second, to be charged battery is at a greater distance. So this converter is also the perfect solution for charging a battery on a trailer from a towing vehicle.

Controlled charging
The (too low) voltage supplied from the alternator will be converted to a stable, fixed output voltage of 14.3 Volts. A voltage value that the second battery will actually be charged. An additional advantage is that the charging converter ensures that the current over the cabling remains limited. Because usually only limited current is allowed to flow to and over the tow bar plug.

On/off switching
The charging converter will only work if there is a voltage on the D+ input. In this way, the second battery will only be charged when the altenator is present as a power source. This protects the starter battery from discharge. Wide range input The NCC charging converter can handle an input voltage of 11 to 36Vdc. This makes the inverter flexible for both 12Vdc and 24Vdc vehicles. The battery to be charged must be 12Vdc nominal.

Robust
The NCC inverters are IP65 classified. This means that they can withstand a blow and are largely waterproof.
